The problem now, is what to do. If you have an idea that you want pursue, that’s great. But if you really have no clue on what to do or how to do it, that is whole other problem.

When looking on the Internet for home based business it is easy to be over whelmed by all the choices and all the information available. Many of the web pages you see are beautifully done and really do a great job of selling you on their opportunity. And many of these opportunities seem To Good To Be True. And that’s probably because that is exactly what they are, To Good To Be True.

Over the last few years or so I have looked at hundreds of home business opportunities and have joined several of them as well. Some being very inexpensive to join and some being high-ticket opportunities. I have been disappointed with all of them except one.

There are a few misconceptions in the minds of newbies looking for a great work at home opportunity. Most people are looking at what product the opportunity is pushing. Some home based business opportunities actually do have a product to sell, (pills, potions, health drinks, etc) but many are pushing E-products (books, newsletters, software, etc). These products are built up and hyped so much that you think everyone in the world wants them and nobody can live without them. The fact is that most of those things can be gotten for FREE on the Internet, no one really wants them, and practically no one will ever use them!

Another misconception that newbies face is the whole marketing issue. They think that all they have to do is sign up and everything else will take care of itself. They “buy into” whatever was promised on the sign-up web page. Maybe it was “Already Set Marketing System” or “Follow these Simple Steps”, etc. You get the idea. Just because a particular opportunity is Simple, does not mean it is Easy! Any opportunity that is real and legitimate is going to require effort to achieve results. Sorry, there just Ain’t No FREE Lunch!
