Las Vegas, NV, United States (AHN) – One fight was all it took for Glen Johnson. In his first bout in Showtime’s Super Six tournament, the veteran super middleweight knocked out Allan Green Saturday night in Las Vegas to clinch a spot in the tournament’s semifinals.

The tournament has been plagued by injuries. Originally slated as a six-man tournament, a total of eight fighters have participated, and five currently remain.

The last round of Group Stage pool play concludes later this month when Arthur Abraham faces Carl Froch. The bout will be useful only in determining seeding, as the semifinal participants are set.

Johnson appeared to control the early rounds of the fight, coming out more aggressive and active than Green, who spent much of the bout backpedaling and jabbing to fend off Johnson’s assault.

Johnson hurt Green in the third round with a solid uppercut just before the round ended. Green struggled a bit to get back to his corner. Johnson also had Green reeling in the sixth round.

AHN’s unofficial scorecard had him up 68-65 at the time of the stoppage. In a bit of a surprise, however, two judges saw the bout differently. Green led 67-66 on two scorecards at the end of the fight.

Johnson’s clinching, use of his head to gain position, and body work had Green frustrated and looking to the referee for help. He also protested the finishing blow, which might have landed on the back of Green’s head.

The shot dropped Green, and he appeared to be arguing with the referee while taking a 10-count. The end came at 36 seconds of the eighth round.

The bout matched two fighters who were left on the outside looking in when the Super Six started. Green replaced Jermain Taylor, who dropped out after suffering a knockout loss in the first round of the Group Stage.

Johnson replaced Mikkel Kessler, who dropped out due to an eye injury. American Andre Dirrell has also withdrawn from the tournament, but a replacement was not named.

Johnson received two points for the win and a third bonus point for the knockout, which was good enough to earn him a spot in the semis. He’s joined by Andre Ward, the only undefeated fighter in the Super Six with a 3-0 record and six points.

Abraham is 1-1 with three points, and Froch is 1-1 with two.

Green, 0-2 in the tournament, did not qualify for the semis.

The well-traveled veteran Johnson moved to 51-14-2 with his thirty fifth knockout. He was fighting at super middleweight for the first time since the year 2000.

“I feel great at this weight,” he said. “It was a lot easier to get down than I thought.”

“And age has nothing to do with anything,” the 41 year old added. “I may fight into my 60s.”

“It’s so gratifying to win,” he continued. “I’ve dedicated a lot of time to this business, and I’ve had my ups and downs in boxing, but I never quit, and I worked for this opportunity. I intend to make the most of it.”

Green fell to 29-3 with his second straight loss and first ever stoppage.

Las Vegas, NV, United States (AHN) – A Las Vegas tattoo company’s racy slogan is causing a buzz while doing what it was designed to do – drum up business. The slogan, advertised on the back of taxi cabs, reads “Sluts R People Too.” The “R” is written backwards.

Phillip Limon, manager of Precious Sluts Tattoo Parlor, said the ad was meant to be funny and attract a certain clientele. It is not meant to offend parents or family-oriented groups.

One cab driver reportedly said no one has complained about his cab carrying the ad, but said many customers think it is clever.

However, some potential passengers refuse to enter a taxi cab carrying the sign, saying it is degrading to women.

Limon said no matter the stance, the ad is working and is attracting customers to the parlor.

Las Vegas is known for its risqué advertisements for gentlemen’s clubs, shows and erotic stores. Taxi cab drivers in the city are no strangers to the controversy.

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – As if the Hills didn’t have enough drama, Bravo is moving in for “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Kelsey’s very recent ex Camille Grammer, Maloof family dynasty sister Adrienne Maloof, and Paris Hilton aunts Kim and Kyle Richards are just some of the ladies set to be come water cooler subjects for weeks to come.

But where did Bravo find a group of women entirely willing to go forth with all the drama, catfights, and wig-pulling during the shoots, and all the gossip that comes after? Well, they almost didn’t. “I had an amazing time, but there were times where I was like, ‘Get me out of this,’” said former Disney star Kim Richards.

“I had regrets at the time at certain moments,” said Adrienne Maloof, who’s family owns the Palms resort and casino in Las Vegas. “But people will see each of us as we are and people will either like us or they’re not.”

Bravo continues to stretch the definition of housewife with its latest group of ladies as well. Maloof is a no-nonsense businesswoman, who worked with her family to make the Palms an international hotspot and hotbed for celebrities. “I have three little boys that I’m very hands on with but I’m also a businesswoman, so I do a lot of juggling and struggling like a lot of mothers out there,” said Maloof.

Kim Richards boasts her own jewelry line, and Lisa VanderPump, a Brit who’s only been in Beverly Hills for a few years, has designed over twenty bars and restaurants in London and owns two restaurants in Hollywood, Villa Blanca and Sur.

“I live running our businesses so am I at home doing the dishes? Not so much,” said Lisa VanderPump. “My kids are grown. I’m probably not a housewife anymore.”

Then there’s Taylor Armstrong, an Oklahoma-native married to a venture capitalist who volunteers for an abused women’s center, and of course Camille Grammer, who filed for divorce from husband Kelsey just this summer.

But while endorsements, up ticks in business, and the perks of notoriety are sure to come for some of the ladies, are they prepared to become the next hair-tugging wrestlers in the ring that is now “Watch What Happens Live”?

“I don’t know what’s gonna come with it. With reality television, I think people really know you because they see the inside of your life so to speak,” said VanderPump. “I don’t know how I’m prepared for that.”

The former military base was abandoned in 1991 due to the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo, a massive volcano near Angeles City that caused a lot of destruction to the military base as well as to Angeles City.
